Wynton Marsalis is an American musician born on October 18, 1961. He is a renowned jazz trumpeter, composer, and bandleader, known for his contributions to both jazz and classical music. Marsalis has won multiple Grammy Awards and is recognized for his dedication to preserving the jazz tradition while also pushing its boundaries. He is the artistic director of Jazz at Lincoln Center and continues to educate and inspire audiences through his performances and advocacy for jazz music.
