W. Edwards Deming was an American scientist born on October 14, 1900. He is best known for his work in quality management and his contributions to the field of statistics. Deming's principles of quality improvement have had a significant impact on manufacturing and business practices worldwide. He is often credited with helping Japan rebuild its economy after World War II through his teachings. Deming passed away on December 20, 1993, leaving a lasting legacy in the field of management.
