Norman Granz was an American jazz promoter and producer who played a crucial role in the careers of many jazz musicians. He founded the Jazz at the Philharmonic (JATP) concert series, which showcased leading jazz artists and helped popularize jazz music. Granz's contributions to the jazz genre and his advocacy for racial integration in music venues were instrumental in shaping the jazz scene.
