Zora Neale Hurston was an American dramatist and author born on January 7, 1891. She is best known for her contributions to African American literature and her novel Their Eyes Were Watching God. Hurston's work often explores themes of race, identity, and culture. She was a prominent figure in the Harlem Renaissance and is recognized for her unique voice and storytelling.
