Margot Kidder was a Canadian-American actress best known for her iconic portrayal of Lois Lane in the "Superman" film series of the 1970s and 1980s. Her strong, independent, and spirited interpretation of the character made her a beloved figure in pop culture. Outside of "Superman," Kidder had a diverse acting career, appearing in films such as "The Amityville Horror" and "Sisters."
