Joseph Jarman was an American musician and composer, born on September 14, 1937. He was a founding member of the Art Ensemble of Chicago, a group known for its innovative approach to jazz and improvisational music. Jarman's work often blended various musical styles, incorporating elements of African music, classical, and avant-garde jazz. His contributions to music have been influential, and he is celebrated for his creativity and dedication to artistic expression.
