"From the time one gets married he tries to improve his wife, but neither of the two improves till death. Instead, if you would have tried to cut vegetables, it would have been done (with success.) So do not try to improve the wife. She may try to improve us [men] but we should not try to reform them."

"Egoism itself is non-religion (adharma) and where there is no egoism that indeed is religion. Without the presence of a living Gnani, it is not possible for egoism to decrease."

"The thoughts that arise because of 'depression' or 'elevation' are all wrong thoughts. The thoughts that arise in 'normality' are 'correct'."

"The world is not worthless but one should know how to get work done from it, because everyone is God, they all have different work to do. Therefore do not have dislike for anything in this world."

"A thing or one's eyes are not maya (deceit), but the attraction that occurs due to the sense is maya!"

"One should become free of mistakes so that there will be no superior over him."

"If we like a person, all his attributes will manifest within us. If we like a pickpocket, even his attributes will manifest within us."

"What is samkit (enlightened view; right belief)? One has to realize the complete authoritative power, and accept everyone's worldly authority. People abuse their acquired authority and consequently loose their right for human birth (manushyapanu). Accept whatever authority one has."

"Seeing the Pure Soul (Shuddhatma) in everyone is itself an intent of friendship towards the entire world."

"No matter what the other person says, then take the bottom line out of it, everything in this world is 'vyavasthit' [result of scientific circumstantial evidences]. So don't tell anyone, 'you did wrong'. Not only should you not say this, you should not even think it."

"The world is so lawful that not even a single mosquito can touch you, as long as you do not interfere. If your interference stops, everything will stop."

"The Gnani Purush simply makes the separation in one's vision: 'This is the vision of the Soul, the real Self' and 'this is the vision of the worldly self'. Otherwise a person can never make this change in his vision. One's vision of 'I am Chandubhai' (vikalpi drashti) will never become the vision of 'I am the Pure Soul' (nirvikalpi drashti)."

"If one understands (realizes) his own Self, then he himself is an Absolute Supreme Soul (Parmatma)."

"True religion is that which does not let you stumble."

"Gnani Purush' (the enlightened one) is considered to be the owner of the whole universe. And yet, there is not the slightest egoism in Him. Where there is no authority, there is egoism and where there is authority, there is no egoism. This is the wonder of 'Gnani Purush!' 'Gnani Purush' is the manifest light."

"Where there is competition, one cannot attain (true) 'Knowledge'."

"Besides the Self [Soul], what is everything else? It is all worldly interactions (vyavahar). And worldly interaction is dependent on the non-Self (parashrit). Because people believe the non-Self dependent state (parashrit) to be Self-dependent (swashrit); you too believe it to be so. How can a disease leave once it has set in? This worldly disease has increased into a chronic disease! How can one become free from it? If one attains the 'science', he can be free!"

"One cannot have the same love for getting insulted (apmaan) as he does for getting importance (maan), can he? He cannot love loss as much as he loves profit, can he?"

"The Vitarags (attachment-free enlightened one's) say, 'Make whatever intents that are suitable to you. If you get sensual intents towards Me, then do those sensual intents and if you have celibate intents towards Me, do celibate intents and if you get religious intents, do religious intents; if you get reverence-intents, do reverence intents and if you want to curse, then curse me. I confront [challenge] no one. A person that doesn't confront goes to Moksha and the person who confronts, resides here [worldly life bondage]."

"If you are straightforward, then others will have no choice but to be straightforward with you. If someone curses you, is he doing so at your responsibility? Is he doing so at God's responsibility? No. He curses you at his own responsibility. And if you were to curse back, then it will be at your responsibility."

"Your success in worldly life (sansar) is in proportion to your faith and truthfulness!"

"Rather than the one who gets angry, the world is more afraid of the one who does not get angry. Why? When anger ceases, grandeur of authority (pratap) arises. Such is the law of nature. Otherwise there would never be any protection for those who don't get angry. Anger provides protection during one's conduct in ignorance of the self."

"Actions do not need to be changed, just change your vision."

"Imaginary happiness has an "end and real happiness is "permanent."

"It is the body-complex that eats and one just does the egoism of 'I ate.' He is not aware that there is another entity. One simply takes on the suffering of another."

"Man has obeyed commands of the Mother, the Father, the Guru; but he has not obeyed the commands of 'God' (Bhagwan). Had he obeyed 'God's' commands, his work (for liberation) would have been accomplished. Alas! He will follow his boss's commands and even his wife's commands!"

"Flowing egoism is not objectionable but if it is caught-up even a little-bit, it is known as obstinacy. Flowing egoism is dramatic egoism. It is not problematic."

"Worldly life is not an impediment, your obstinacies and your ignorance of the self are only the impediments."

"If you are lost while travelling on the road, then if you ask a guide of the road, you will find the right way. Similarly, people have become lost on their way to moksha. They will find a solution when they meet the One (Gnani, the Enlightened One) who is familiar with the way to moksha. 'We' are that guide to moksha [the ultimate liberation]!"

"Charge' means coming together of all the circumstances and 'discharge' means the circumstances get over."

"A king will say 'I killed thousands of people'. He is simply doing egoism; he is taking pleasure in taking credit of doership (garva ras). They were killed by those who were on the battle field. Why does the king needlessly take on the liability [of new karmic causes]? In doing so, those who did the killing are set free. The rule is that the liability falls upon the one doing egosim [of doerhip]."

"Principle' [Established Truth] means everywhere applicable; when there is nothing else, it is called Principle."

"Eternal joy arises by living in the 'permanent room'. Living in the 'temporary room' gives temporary joy."

"If someone finds a flaw [shortcoming] in us, know that there is imperfection [defect] in us. However, it is a different matter if that person has a habit of talking negatively, but generally that is not the case."

"As long as you are the owner ('I am Chandubhai and all this is mine'), the worldly life remains. When does the ownership go away? When the wrong belief goes away."

"That which frees one from bondage is the right religion."

"Is it not necessary to eat? Is it not necessary to go to the toilet? They are necessary. In the same way, money is also required. Just as one does not have to think about going to the toilet; it happens automatically, in the same way, money comes without you having to think about it."

"The Lord states, 'What can one do to go to moksha? He can go if he attains the right belief of the Self; or if he attains the grace of the Gnani Purush'."

"To see things (vastu) 'as it is' in its purest form, is called samkit (enlightened view; right belief), and to see it any other way is called mithyatva (wrong belief)."

"In saying the word 'Sachchidanand' [sat-chit-anand, eternal knowledge and vision leading to bliss], it has great 'effect'. There is an 'effect' even when it is said without the understanding [of it's meaning]. When it is said with the understanding, there is tremendous benefit. Saying these words produces vibrations and everything churns. Everything is 'Scientific'."

"Ambalal Muljibhai' (Dada's relative self) is under the control of worldly interactions, and 'we' (The Gnani Purush) are in the control of nischaya (realm of the Self). Worldly interaction should not be scorned at, at all."

"Where there is love, there are no faults. Where the love of give-and-take (dealer) arose, all faults will be seen there."

"If you remain 'insincere' to one person, then that person will hold you back from going to moksha!"

"This [worldly suffering] is indeed the result of a flawed-vision. When this flawed-vision goes away, the world will be seen "As it is. By sitting with the 'Experienced Person' whose flawed-vision is gone, our flawed-vision will go away. Nothing else will make it go away."

"The worldly life is constantly ablaze. To keep expectation, that it will extinguish, is wrong. So then we too should say to it, 'you can keep on burning!"

"There is worldly life where there is competition and where there is no competition, there is 'Gnan', (true) Knowledge."

"If egoism is there, the benefit of the Self cannot be obtained and if the Self is there, the benefit of egoism cannot be obtained."

"As long as there is worldly life, one is going to attain physical body, and as long as there is a body, there will be worldly miseries and troubles."

"Nothing in this world is 'by chance'. There are "covered causes (hidden) within. 'By chance' is also the result of an effort."

"If someone says, "the Gnani Purush is happy in the 'Real' but happy or unhappy in the 'relative'", then I would say, "No, the Gnani Purush Knows the 'relative' as being the 'relative', and therefore He is happy in the relative as well."
