Walter Becker was an American musician born on February 20, 1950. He is best known as a co-founder of the rock band Steely Dan, where he played guitar and bass and contributed to songwriting. Becker's work with Steely Dan produced numerous hits and earned critical acclaim for its unique sound and sophisticated lyrics. He continued to create music until his passing on September 3, 2017.
