Lillian Hellman was an American dramatist born on June 20, 1905. She is known for her powerful plays, including The Children's Hour and The Little Foxes, which often addressed social issues and moral dilemmas. Hellman's work earned her critical acclaim and recognition as one of the leading playwrights of her time. She was also an outspoken political activist, advocating for various causes throughout her life. Lillian Hellman passed away on June 30, 1984, leaving a significant legacy in American theater.
