Franz Schubert was an Austrian composer celebrated for his prolific output and contributions to Romantic music. His works include symphonies, chamber music, and lieder (songs), such as "Ave Maria" and "Winterreise." Schubert's ability to convey deep emotion and lyrical beauty in his compositions has cemented his place as one of the great composers in Western classical music.
