Jo Stafford was an American singer whose smooth, versatile voice made her one of the most popular female vocalists of the 1940s and 1950s. She achieved success with hits like "You Belong to Me" and "Make Love to Me". Stafford was known for her ability to sing in various styles, from pop and jazz to folk and classical music. Her career spanned over four decades, during which she won numerous awards, including a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
