Earl Scruggs was an American banjo player renowned for his innovative style and technique, known as "Scruggs style" banjo playing. His contributions to bluegrass music, particularly through his work with the Foggy Mountain Boys, helped define the genre. Scruggs's skillful banjo playing and influential recordings have made him a legendary figure in American folk and bluegrass music.
