Coleman Hawkins was an American jazz saxophonist who played a pivotal role in the development of jazz music. Known as the "Father of the Tenor Saxophone," Hawkins' innovative style and technical prowess set a new standard for the instrument. His career spanned over four decades, during which he influenced countless musicians and helped shape the sound of jazz.
