Chris Barber was an English jazz trombonist and bandleader who played a pivotal role in the British traditional jazz revival of the 1950s. His band, the Chris Barber Jazz Band, introduced many to the sounds of New Orleans jazz and blues. Barber's dedication to promoting jazz and his long-lasting career made him a significant figure in the history of British jazz.
