Willard Van Orman Quine was an American philosopher born on June 25, 1908. He is known for his work in logic and philosophy of language, making significant contributions to analytic philosophy. Quine challenged traditional views on meaning and reference, influencing many areas of philosophy. He published several important works and is remembered as one of the leading philosophers of the 20th century. He passed away on December 25, 2000.
