Wilbur Wright, an American inventor, along with his brother Orville, is credited with inventing and building the first successful powered airplane. The Wright brothers' historic flight in 1903 at Kitty Hawk marked the beginning of modern aviation. Their pioneering work in aerodynamics and engineering revolutionized transportation and technology.
