Terry Fox, the Canadian athlete, became a symbol of courage and determination during his Marathon of Hope, a cross-country run to raise awareness and funds for cancer research. Despite losing his leg to cancer, Fox embarked on his journey to run across Canada, inspiring millions with his resilience and selflessness. Though his journey was cut short by a recurrence of cancer, his legacy lives on through the annual Terry Fox Run, which continues to raise millions of dollars for cancer research worldwide.

"Even though I'm not running anymore, we still have to try to find a cure for cancer. Other people should go ahead and try to do their own thing now."
