Saint Francis de Sales was a Swiss clergyman born on August 21, 1567. He is known for his work in the Catholic Church and for promoting the practice of spirituality and devotion. Francis founded the Order of the Visitation of Holy Mary and is recognized for his writings, including Introduction to the Devout Life. He emphasized the importance of love and humility in one's relationship with God. Saint Francis was canonized in 1665 and is the patron saint of writers and journalists. He passed away on December 28, 1622.
