Rube Goldberg was an American cartoonist and inventor born on July 4, 1883. He is famous for creating humorous cartoons depicting complex machines designed to perform simple tasks in overly complicated ways. The term "Rube Goldberg machine" has become synonymous with such contraptions. His work has influenced popular culture and inspired generations of inventors and artists. Rube Goldberg passed away on December 7, 1970, but his legacy of creativity and humor continues to be celebrated.
