Roy Bean was an American judge born on July 18, 1825. He is best known for his colorful and unconventional approach to the law as a justice of the peace in Texas. Bean became known as the "Law West of the Pecos" and was famous for his unique rulings and entertaining courtroom antics. His life and career have become legendary, representing the wild and often humorous aspects of frontier justice in the American West. Roy Bean passed away on March 16, 1903, leaving behind a lasting legacy in American folklore.
