Pope John XXIII, born Angelo Giuseppe Roncalli, served as Pope from 1958 to 1963. He is best known for convening the Second Vatican Council, which brought significant changes to the Catholic Church, including reforms in liturgy and relations with other religions. John XXIII is remembered for his efforts to modernize the Church and promote peace and unity among Christians.
