Jesse James was an American outlaw and bank robber known for his involvement in the American Civil War and his criminal activities in the late 19th century. As the leader of the James-Younger Gang, he became a notorious figure in American history, with his criminal exploits and eventual death becoming the stuff of legend. His life and actions have been the subject of numerous stories and films.
