J. Reuben Clark was an American clergyman and diplomat, best known for his service as a member of the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). He was also a prominent figure in U.S. government service, including his role as Solicitor General and Undersecretary of State. Clark's work in both religious and public spheres significantly influenced the LDS Church's policies and American diplomatic practices during his time.
