Howard Dietz was an American lyricist and librettist known for his collaborations with composer Arthur Schwartz, with whom he wrote numerous popular songs and Broadway shows. Some of their most famous works include "Dancing in the Dark" and "That's Entertainment." Dietz was also a successful advertising executive and is credited with creating the iconic MGM lion logo. His contributions to both music and advertising have left a lasting legacy in American popular culture.
