Byron White was an American lawyer and associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court from 1962 to 1993. Appointed by President John F. Kennedy, White was known for his pragmatic approach to the law and his influence on major legal decisions during his tenure. Before joining the Supreme Court, he was a prominent figure in law and sports, having played professional football. His judicial career is marked by a commitment to constitutional principles and justice.
