Alexander Haig was an American public servant and military officer who served as the Secretary of State under President Richard Nixon and later as the White House Chief of Staff. His career also included a notable tenure as NATO Supreme Allied Commander. Haig was known for his strong leadership and strategic thinking during critical moments in American politics, particularly during the Watergate scandal and the Cold War.
