Wernher von Braun was a German-American scientist born on March 23, 1912. He is known as the father of rocket technology and played a significant role in the development of space exploration. Von Braun worked on the V-2 rocket program during World War II and later joined the United States after the war. He was instrumental in the success of the Apollo program and the first manned mission to the Moon. Von Braun's contributions to science and technology have had a lasting impact on space exploration and the advancement of rocketry.
