Luther Burbank was an American horticulturist and botanist who made significant contributions to agriculture through his development of new plant varieties. Known as the "wizard of horticulture," Burbank created over 800 strains and varieties of plants, including the Burbank potato and the Shasta daisy. His innovative work in plant breeding had a profound impact on agriculture and gardening, influencing both food production and landscape design.
