Ludwig Mies van der Rohe was a German-American architect who is considered one of the pioneers of modern architecture. Known for his minimalist approach and the famous dictum "less is more," Mies designed iconic buildings such as the Barcelona Pavilion and the Seagram Building. His emphasis on simplicity, clarity, and the use of modern materials like steel and glass made him one of the most influential architects of the 20th century.
