Judith Jamison is an American dancer and choreographer born on May 10, 1943. She is best known for her work with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, where she served as a principal dancer and later as artistic director. Jamison's performances have been celebrated for their emotional depth and cultural significance. She has inspired generations of dancers and continues to advocate for the arts and diversity in dance.
