John Bunny was an American actor and comedian who was one of the earliest stars of silent film comedy. Often compared to Charlie Chaplin, Bunny's rotund figure and expressive face made him a popular figure in early cinema. He appeared in over 150 short films, many of which were highly successful. Bunny's work helped establish the comedy genre in film, and he remains a significant figure in the history of early Hollywood.
