Jim Elliot was an American missionary and martyr known for his efforts to evangelize among the Huaorani people of Ecuador. He, along with four other missionaries, was killed in 1956 while attempting to make contact with the indigenous tribe. Elliot's dedication to his faith and his ultimate sacrifice have inspired many in the missionary community and beyond. His life and work continue to be remembered for their impact on religious missions and intercultural engagement.
