Isaac Newton was an English mathematician and physicist, born on January 4, 1643. He is best known for his laws of motion and universal gravitation, which laid the foundation for classical mechanics. Newton's work in mathematics, particularly calculus, revolutionized the field. His book, Philosophie Naturalis Principia Mathematica, is considered one of the most important scientific works ever written. He passed away on March 31, 1727, leaving a lasting legacy in science.
