Irving Caesar was an American lyricist and composer best known for writing the lyrics to popular standards such as "Tea for Two" and "Swanee". His work, which often featured catchy, accessible lyrics, helped to define the sound of American popular music in the early 20th century. Caesar's contributions to the Great American Songbook have made his songs enduring favorites, still performed and recorded by artists today.
