Edwin Markham was an American poet whose works, such as The Man with the Hoe, reflected his deep concern for social justice and the human condition. Markham's poetry continues to inspire generations with its call for empathy, compassion, and change. His advocacy for the rights of workers and the oppressed encourages us to use our voices to speak out against injustice and fight for the betterment of society.
