Dorothy Stang was an American nun and activist who worked in Brazil advocating for the rights of rural workers and environmental protection. Her commitment to social justice and her efforts to protect the Amazon rainforest made her a prominent figure in the fight against deforestation and land conflicts. Stang's work and sacrifice were recognized posthumously for her dedication to human rights and environmental causes.
