Chuck Colson was an American lawyer and political figure who became infamous for his involvement in the Watergate scandal as a member of President Nixon's administration. After serving a prison sentence, Colson underwent a religious conversion and founded Prison Fellowship, a Christian outreach program for inmates. His transformation from a political operative to a religious leader marked a significant turn in his life and legacy.
"I learned one thing in Watergate: I was well-intentioned but rationalized illegal behavior," he said. "You cannot live your life other than walking in the truth. Your means are as important as your ends."
