Benjamin Jowett was an English theologian and scholar born in 1817. He served as the Master of Balliol College, Oxford, and made significant contributions to the field of classical studies. Jowett's translations of Plato's dialogues and his writings on theology and philosophy have had a lasting impact on academia.
