Arthur E. Waite was a British occultist and author known for his writings on mysticism and the occult. He is best known for his work on the Waite Tarot deck and his books on esoteric subjects, including "The Book of Black Magic and of Pacts." Waite's contributions to the study of occultism and tarot have influenced modern practices and continued to be of interest to those exploring mystical traditions.
